I was asked recently what my best wedding for 2011 was and in less than 2 minutes I knew what it is — Pastor Jonathan Fenix and Coco Opena’s wedding in Tagaytay Highlands! They both met in our church and was I shocked to know that it was them… right there, i knew it would not be long before Pastor Jonathan would propose. What touched me most was not the extravagance, but just that It was one of those weddings wherein you could feel God’s presence all over the place. What a wonderful privilege to have been the one to document this.
Jonathan & Coco are not just clients, they’re more than friends… they are brothers and sisters in Christ. Infact, they were supposed to be in my wedding because Pastor Jon was the Pastor of my daughter Jazz in JZone and Coco sang during my wedding together with Marty Ocaya whose wedding I also covered the same year.
If this wedding were a movie, I’d have so many quotable quotes… among my favorites.
“I’m stressed — I gotta eat chocolates.” – Coco during preps
“I promise to make love to you as often as you like” – Coco’s vow
“I think we are You do realize this is a vow you are making before the Lord ” – Pastor Desmond after hearing Coco’s vow
“I waited 38 years for this, now way am I waiting another day.” – Pastor Jonathan after Reception
Thank you! Indeed a God orchestrated marriage.
